Natalie gentile, m.d.

Meet Natalie! Natalie found yoga during her college days while recovering from a hip injury. She
practiced at a studio called Amazing Yoga in her hometown of Pittsburgh for about six years
before becoming certified to teach in 2014 through their Yoga Alliance-Certified Teacher
Training program. This led to a deeper appreciation for her practice and how yoga can truly
benefit anybody. Her personal practice of yoga helped her through tough times, as well as
happy times.
Natalie continues to use what she learns on the mat in her day-to- day life. After medical school
in Pittsburgh, she and her husband moved to Rochester, where she completed her family
medicine residency at Mayo Clinic. During her residency, Natalie continued to teach a power
vinyasa flow class in Kasson in her spare time. She has given several talks on the topic of
“Yoga as Medicine.” Now, she is a practicing family medicine physician at Mayo and is thrilled to
have the opportunity to teach at Urban Yoga MN.
She and her husband, Amir, also recently welcomed their beautiful son, Luca, into the world!
Natalie’s teaching style focuses on inclusiveness, tailoring each practice to the vibe and
experience of the class’ participants. She enjoys building heat during the practice through a
faster paced vinyasa flow, and she loves to help yogis explore new poses in a playful and safe
environment with hands-on adjustments and detailed instruction.
