INSTRUCTOR, WRANGLER OF CHILDREN, MOTHER OF A FLUFFY PUP!
Meet Corinne! As a newer instructor at Urban Yoga MN, Corinne is enthusiastic about starting this exciting path in her yoga practice. Corinne fell in love with the balance, restoration and centering benefits of yoga when she played rugby as an undergraduate college student and during an eye-opening student teaching experience in Hong Kong. Since then, she has returned variously to the path of yoga and has also incorporated visualization and meditation practices in classes she has taught at the high school and college levels over the past decade. While folding these practices into test preparation and other academic activities, she developed a deep respect for Sanskrit and Hinduism, which prompted her to dig into aspects of the Bhagavad Gita for her M.A. literature thesis. Corinne has discovered that a lifetime of learning and practicing these philosophies have only further fueled her curiosity and respect for the history of yoga and all its diverse paths and yogis.
Corinne received her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training and Wellness Certification from Breathe for Change, an organization created particularly for professionals who work with children and teachers. She also trained with Felipe Gonzalez from New York City, who introduced her to the amazing practice of Nada Yoga, and other beautiful yogis from Madison, Wisconsin.
